This Privacy Policy explains how YBSGO (YBS GO) (“we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, protects, and shares information when you use our Android application (com.ybsgo.app). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency in how your data is handled.

Information We Collect and How We Use It

We collect minimal information necessary to provide and improve the YBS GO experience. The data we collect falls into the following categories:

A. Precise Location Data

  • Purpose: We request access to your device’s GPS (Precise Location) to provide real-time bus navigation.
  • Usage: To show your live position on the map, calculate distances to nearby bus stops, and provide accurate route suggestions.
  • Scope: Accessed only while the app is in use (foreground). We do not track your location in the background.
  • Data Safety: Location coordinates are processed locally on your device and are never stored on our servers or associated with any persistent user account.

B. Advertising ID & Analytics

  • Permissions: Our app includes the Android permission com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID and uses Firebase Analytics.
  • Purpose: Used strictly for analytics, crash reporting, and measuring app performance.
  • No Personalized Ads: We do not use the Advertising ID to serve personalized or targeted advertisements.
  • Data Collected: App interaction events (e.g., screen views), app instance identifiers, and basic device information (model, OS version).

C. Device & Notification Identifiers

  • Purpose: To keep you updated with essential service alerts, we collect Push Tokens (Expo and Firebase Cloud Messaging).

D. Audio Access

  • The app plays pre-recorded voice announcements for bus stops.
  • We do not request microphone permissions and do not record any audio from your device.

Third-Party Services and Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We use trusted third-party services solely to operate and improve the app. These services may collect information as described in their respective privacy policies:

  • Google Play Services & Firebase
    Purpose: Analytics, crash reporting, and core Android functionality.

Data Retention and Deletion Policy

  • No User Accounts: We do not mandate account creation, nor do we store personal identities on our servers.
  • Local Data Deletion: Any saved stops, offline routes, or cached preferences are stored locally on your device. You can completely delete this data at any time by clearing the app’s cache/storage in your device settings or by uninstalling the app.
  • Analytics Data: Data collected via Firebase is anonymized, retained according to Google’s standard retention policies, and automatically deleted when the retention window expires.

Your Controls and Choices

  • Revoke Location: You can disable location access at any time via your device’s Settings > Apps > YBS GO > Permissions.
  • Manage Notifications: You can turn off push notifications in your device settings.
  • Reset Advertising ID: You can reset or delete your Android Advertising ID by navigating to Settings > Privacy > Ads on your device.

Security

We use industry-standard encryption (SSL/TLS) to protect data transmitted between your device and our third-party services. While no electronic transmission is 100% secure, we continuously monitor and update our security practices to protect your information.

Children’s Privacy

YBS GO is a general audience application and does not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take necessary actions to delete it.

YBS GO သည် အများပြည်သူသုံး app ဖြစ်ပြီး အသက် 13 နှစ်အောက် ကလေးများ၏ personal data ကို ရည်ရွယ်ချက်ရှိစွာ မစုဆောင်းပါ။ မိဘ/အုပ်ထိန်းသူအနေဖြင့် ကလေးတစ်ဦး၏အချက်အလက် ပေးထားသည်ဟု ယူဆပါက ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ကို ဆက်သွယ်ပါ။ လိုအပ်သလို ဖျက်ဆောင်ရွက်ပေးပါမည်။
